Reading is something I’ve always taken pride in. I’ve always believed that the things that are truly good for us take effort — a belief that was tested when I got married, and tested even more after becoming a mother. One of the few things I unintentionally gave up was reading. My daughter turned two last month, and since she was born, I’ve only managed to read four books. But each of these books came with its own story, mood, and meaning — so here they are: 1. Trip to Bhramagiri Hills

  “A cup of chai, with my tribe, is all I need to heal my soul!” This thought kept fluttering in my mind, growing louder as the day went on, and my focus on work began to wane. All I could think about was my upcoming trip to Bhramagiri Hills , the origin of the Godavari River (also known as the Dakshina Ganga). Located near Trimbak in Nashik , Bhramagiri Hills is a popular trekking destination. The base point for the trek is just 10–15 minutes from the Trimbakeshwar Temple , one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva . When people around me questioned why I would trek for two hours just to make a cup of tea, I was grateful to have a partner who understood exactly how much something like that meant to me. Our group of six had recently visited Kosmal Waterfall during heavy rainfall, and after watching several YouTube videos about the Bhramagiri Trek, I—someone who spends most of my time sitting and working on a computer—felt confident and excited for the adventure ahead...

  Speech from a daughter in Law on her father in law’s Retirement (The speech was in Gujarati, though have provided a translated version in English Down below): આદરણીય આચાર્ય શ્રી , શિક્ષણ ગણો અને મારા વહાલા પરિવારનો ને મારો સાદર પ્રણામ , પપ્પા ! આ શબ્દ સાંભળી પહેલો વિચાર આવે કે , પરિવારના મુખ્ય , હેડ ઓફ ધ ફેમિલી ! પરંતુ મારા માટે પપ્પા એટલે તો મારા પ્રેરક , મારા ઉત્સાહક અને મારી બધી જ નાની અને મોટી વાતો સાંભળનાર મારા બેસ્ટ ફ્રેન્ડ ! કોઈ પણ સામાન્ય વ્યક્તિને પૂછો કે “ ભગવાન એટ્લે શુ ?” તો બેસિક જવાબ એ જ મળે કે આ શ્રુષ્ટિના સંચાલક , આપણે બધાને બનાવનાર એ જ ભગવાન છે ! પરંતુ , મને તો મારા મમ્મી - પપ્પા એ બનાવી છે ને ? તો મારા ભગવાન તો એ જ થયા ને ! મારી લાઈફમાં સૌથી ઇમ્પોર્ટન્ટ મારૂ પરિવાર , મારા ભગવાન ને છોડી ; હું 5 વર્ષ પહેલા નવી જગ્યા , નવા લોકો વચ્ચે રહેવા ગઈ . આ પાંચ વર્ષમાં ખબર જ ના પડી કે ક્યારે એ લોકો થી પરિવાર અને પરિવાર થી ભગવાન માં પરીવર્તિત થઈ ગયા ! ...
