    Ulysses Pact is about 5 people in a psychological experiment where they enter a house of death, experiment being live streamed on the internet with people betting on their next moves. Each of the five people have their own dark secrets due to which they were chosen as subject for this experiment. 

    Author has given a brief description of the "The Ulysses pact" which is an ancient understanding elucidated in the "odyssey" by the great Homer; and is a part of behavioral psychology which broadly means 'to lock us in'. The book unfolds the story of these 5 subjects and the reason to why they have been chosen for this particular experiment. As readers we are given a brief view from the culprit’s point of view and what circumstance drove these people to take grave actions. All the five stories are quite unique in their own ways.

    I liked how all the characters were show having different setup and background, there were very less similarities between them. as I finished reading and flipped the book, I was amazed by the fact that the cover of the book has been designed very cleverly, it provides a hint regarding each of the five subjects stories. However, I feel author should have given more insight on what exactly happened in the house of death, what were the various tasks the subjects had to go through, also there were few places where the stories would start abruptly and few loose ends to tie. Since the author jumps from one story to another without providing proper closer, it might test one's patience, however things do fall into place near the end.

     All in all, it was a good read, I would recommend it to people seeking suspense and thriller. I would give 3.5/5.
