Asking Why??

Society, I think once upon a time, a group of people decided some rules on how humans are supposed to behave, those who didn't agree created their own rules, and thus  formed different societies.
There were reasons of their own for the rules, by the passing time these rules needed to change, but the didn't and took the shape of superstitions.
The main problem with the birth of superstition was lack of curiosity, no one ever asked "OK but Why??"

Some reasons of Indian superstitions do have scientific reasons behind them like, plants during occasions are kept to balance the amount of  carbon dioxide and oxygen in that particular room, but when some one asked why, some lazy fellow said "Because it brings prosperity!" ans that is what has continues till now!!

And some, I have my own theory of their creation like,One day Mr.x was going for very important work (like exams) and he/she failed to it and gave a excuse like a black animal crossed my way when I was going, thus its not my fault! from that day it has become a valid excuses for every task that goes wrong in anyone's life! And When someone spilled the milk elders will create in their mind saying your this innocent mistake will bring some huge curse or bad luck on your loved ones and yours too. I mean couldn't find any other to make then pay attention??

This is  21st century now, And its high time we start asking why? If we don't get the answers, one can take out 5 mins from the life and Google it, Internet has much better use then social networking too :P
Finding your own answers, knowing the purpose behind your action, won't do any harm.
with time everything changes, we humans changes, we grow constantly, emotionally, mentally, then why not change those old things which were required then but have no use now.

Superstitions were the ways of creating fears in people and controlling to behave as one wished!
lets break out of this fear and be free again, I mean like the real freedom where we are allowed to think and believe after proper analysis and reasoning :)

PS: There comes a time when once good turns into evil and needs to be changed or eliminated~ The vayuputras!.

  1. superstitions are the most superficial part of our religions. Along with the generation that precedes us even they intend to phase out. As i believe, u and i are not much 'big of a fan' as our elders are.
But u know, as we do this, we are again taking shape into ignorant fools, who lacke the curiosity to ask "why the hell did they do that?"
