"A prospect of foreign land where all your dreams will come true and all your troubles will fade away, a place with new opportunities, adventures and wonders" most of us have been or know someone who is wants to go to a foreign land or Baahir as they say. This is a story of one such girl, Sawera ironically born at midnight, somewher in Pakistan and travels to foreign land in hope of new prospects. The story of her struggle and in- destructible hope, even after repeated failures and crushed efforts to say "Baahir".
First look of this book and I was hooked, the cover is so pretty, the cover itself makes us want to know the story of sawera. I loved how the character of sawera had a persistent hunger for better life, even after so many heartbreaks and disappointments. The story very well depicts how parents need to cautiously mold their children especially during their teenage years, preventing them from finding attention outside, just like in case of sawera who ended up a school dropout and a mother of four at a very early age.
Even though the story of sawera is inspiring and motivational if was not able to find any wow factor in it.
Conclusion: someone who wants to believe there's light at the end of tunnel or wanting to read something motivating should pick this up.
Overall the book is 3/5 for me.
