Anahita, a pregnant woman with fear of almost everything, moves to Paradise Heights (Mumbai) with her ambitious husband to start a new life, only to discover not so heavenly past of the apartment. She starts to witness things that are beyond explanation, With her husband occupied with the burden  of creating the image of a political party, she sets upon the quest of  unraveling the truth of the women in maroon dress and her link to dakhma or the tower of silence. Is Anahita  on the path to discover a terrible secret which goes beyond nightmares and corpse or is she hallucinating again, as her husband, Psychiatrist and best friend around her seem to think.

The book is a complete package of horror, suspense, thriller and twists with right timings to keep readers locked in! What I loved most about this book is that author has brushed over various social topics like social media influence, Climate change, politics, sexuality, mental health, phobia and many more in a single story. The way author has described how social media platforms are used to  influence the youth  is quite intriguing. The language of the book is easy and free flowing, it has limited characters and major characters are well developed. There are places where the story sends a chill down the spine meanwhile creating a story urge to keep reading. even though the story switches narration between past and present there is no trace of confusion. Story throws some light on parsi culture, which I felt was something different and interesting. I think this would make a great movie someday.

Even though I enjoy reading the book, I felt story is unnecessarily detailed at few placed in part I (Woman at the Glass door) of the story.

Conclusion: I would recommend this book to all the Lovers of Horror Genre out there.

Rating: Its 4.5/5 for me.
