Azad Nagar is a story of small group of people enslaved in villages by land lord, trapped in a viceous cycle of loan and slavery. Their fight for freedom and liberation.
Author has done a commendable job on research for this book. It's very different from the conventional book, I could picture the narration of author very well, felt like I was watching a documentary series. Author has described few episodes of torture on the khol community so vividly it brings out wave of emotions. The heart wrenching story of khols Nd thier fight for freedom is something everyone should know. I really loved the cover of the book, it's eye catching as well as potrays the essense of story.
In initial part of the story, feels like more of documentry reading rather than story, one has to cross the threshold to reach the actually story part of the book.

Conclusion:  People who likes historical and patriotic reads should definitely read this book.
Rating: It's 3.75/5 for me.
